Safeguarding Statement

Hicks Home Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. As a qualified teacher with 11 years' experience, I follow safe practices in both online and in-person tuition. This includes clear communication boundaries, age-appropriate materials, and reporting procedures in line with UK safeguarding guidance.

Privacy Policy

I take your privacy seriously. Any personal information you provide (such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers) will only be used for the purpose of delivering tuition services and communicating with you directly. I will never share your data with third parties unless legally required to do so.

This website does not use cookies or tracking tools beyond those provided by its hosting platform (e.g. Wix, GoDaddy, etc.) If you use the contact form or email directly, your details will be kept securely and only for as long as needed.

GDPR Compliance

Hicks Home Learning is fully compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). You have the right to:

• Request access to any data held about you
• Ask for corrections to inaccurate data
• Request that your data be deleted at any time

Terms & Conditions

Payments

Payment for tuition is due in advance or on the day of the session, unless otherwise agreed. Block booking offers are available and must be paid for up front.

Cancellations

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may still be charged, unless due to emergency or illness.

Session Conduct

Students are expected to engage respectfully and be ready to learn. Any inappropriate behaviour may lead to the session being ended early at the tutor’s discretion.

Intellectual Property

All resources and materials created by Hicks Home Learning are for the student’s personal educational use only and may not be shared or redistributed without permission.
