At Hicks Home Learning, I offer carefully structured English tuition in small online groups for Key Stage 3 and GCSE (AQA) students. These sessions focus on building core skills in reading, writing, and analysis, as well as revision for exams.
Each group is thoughtfully arranged by age and ability to ensure every learner feels confident, supported, and able to contribute. With limited numbers and expert planning, no one gets lost in the crowd.

My Pricing Philosophy
I believe that students achieve their best when taught by someone with deep subject knowledge, experience, and care. I do not offer generic tutoring or superficial support. I provide high-quality English teaching through carefully structured tuition, tailored to each learner.
My pricing reflects eleven years of classroom experience, a First Class degree in English with History, and a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of St Andrews. My teaching has helped many students exceed their targets. In 2017, I was honoured to be Highly Commended in the Kent Teacher of the Year Awards, in recognition of the quality and impact of my work.
I am committed to offering clear and transparent rates, with no hidden fees or confusing packages. I work in partnership with families to create long-term learning plans that provide real value, academic progress and lasting confidence.

Payment and Cancellations Policy
Sessions are paid for in advance by bank transfer. I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, as this helps me offer that slot to another student. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may still be charged. Please refer to the Policies and Information page for full details.
